Please read all of the below before seeking an available pup from Fairy Blue Shih Tzu.

WORD TO THE WISE:

Do NOT buy a Shih Tzu because you just think they are cute and you want to give one to your child for a holiday or birthday present.  Keep in mind, this can be done, but you must know that YOU will be the one who furnishes your puppy with care and not the child. The child can "help", but the Shih Tzu will mostly need an adult to care for it unless your child is old enough and is extremely dedicated. I don't say this because the Shih Tzu won't like smaller children, but I say this because younger children do not usually know or understand a dogs limits. 

WE DO NOT REQUIRE QUESTIONNAIRES:

We here at Fairy Blue are not going to put any potential buyer through rigorous questionnaires before purchase.   We are all adults here at Fairy Blue, and we have faith that you being an adult,  you have read all discerning statements on this breed before making your decision to purchase, and as adults, trust you are making the correct decision.  We do; however, welcome any questions you may have before you make any final decision, and even after a purchase.

3. Automatic Breeding Rights - We here at Fairy Blue are not going to follow new owners around in hopes of receiving alteration paperwork from vets throughout the country.  I have had instances when I was a cat breeder a few years ago where only one person complied, and it was a nightmare.  I still have the papers on those kittens, as they could never be registered from owners not showing alteration verification.  Furthermore, you are adults, and SHOULD know the importance of a neuter and spay.  We trust you will either do what is right by your pup as a pet owner; OR as a breeder

4.  A Pet Crate - All new owners of a Fairy Blue Shih Tzu will receive a crate to safely take their baby home in.

5.  AKC Ownership Papers - automatically given to each buyer of a Fairy Blue Shih Tzu. 

6.  All vetted paperwork - before the puppy reaches your hands

7.  A copy of the parents pedigree - we make this available online

8.  A name tag - each who purchase a puppy from Fairy Blue Shih Tzu will receive a small name tag (name and phone number) for your new puppy.

9.  A puppy stroller! -  Only to one recipient per litter out of a litter of 3 or more puppies.  How it works:  From each litter sold that contained 3 or more puppies in the litter, all of the names of our purchasers will be put in a hat.  One name will be drawn randomly from the hat, and the winner will receive a pet stroller for their new puppy drop shipped to their home by Fairy Blue Shih Tzu.  Disclaimer:  We do not guarantee style, color, quality, shipping, or the product itself once  shipped.  We will order it, ship it to the address you gave us, and just hope you enjoy it!

A standard contract must be signed by all new owners and mailed to Fairy Blue before we transfer the pup to it's new home.  

Puppies that are available will have listed the color, current weight (with an expectation and estimation of adult weight), a bit about his/her current temperament,  birth date, and the estimated date it will be ready to leave Fairy Blue.   

We reserve the right to refuse a sale to any purchaser for any reason at anytime. 

PRICING

Pup:  between $800 and $1500 (based on quality, color, size, and temperament)
Shipping:  between $300 and $350 (if applicable)
Local Travel: $50.00 (if applicable)

More detailed information..........

1.  Our pups range in price from $800 to $1500.  We are staying competitive within the pricing of the purebred, rare true-blue, AKC,  Shih Tzu for meeting standard, color, size, and temperament. 

2.  We use Delta Airlines for shipping. Delta flies pets "weather permitting", so keep this in mind at your time of purchase or deposit.  

a.  If we have to fly your pet by Continental Airlines in an air controlled environment due to weather conditions, the airport will be much further away than our regular airport to use this airline, and this will entail a separate added fee of $50 for travel. 

b.  We will not ship any pup in which we and our vet feels is not medically sound to take the stress of a shipping.

c.  A separate fee for shipping, if needed, will be added to the actual cost listed of a pup.  The shipping fee will depend on airline shipping costs at the time of purchase, plus an added amount of $75.00 for the shipping crate and vet paperwork needed by the airline for shipping.  

Estimated cost of shipping by Delta:  $300 (including all necessary papers and travel)
Estimated cost of shipping by Continental:  $350 (including all necessary papers and travel)

NOTE: We do NOT care to ship our puppies, but we do know this must be an open option due to sometimes necessary reasons on the part of the buyer.  However, know that we do not guarantee our puppies once boarded, and by our contract, for any mishaps that occur during or after this mode of travel.  Read more about this on our Shih Tzu Q&A page under "Is it safe to have a Shih Tzu shipped by plane?". 

3.   We will drive up to one hour to meet a local purchaser of our puppies for an additional fee of $50.00 for fuel.  We will not drive outside of a one-hour distance.  Naturally, if you can come to us, this would be the optimum savings.  

a.  Meeting a local purchaser at a one-hour-away location will depend on weather and other possible conditions at the time a pup has reached it's transfer age.

4.  We will allow you to visit our pups and our home, under certain safety conditions, which will be discussed at the time a meeting is wanted for you to view our pups as a potential buyer.

DEPOSITS & CONTRACT

1.  Once pictures are posted of our pups, we will accept deposits.  However, please notice the pups age when advertised, and know that it must be at least 9-weeks old before it goes to it's forever home before you submit a deposit.  A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 will hold a puppy for you.   We accept deposits on a first-come, first serve basis.

a.  We only accept deposits with a signed Fairy Blue Shih Tzu puppy contract.  Balance due will be given a specific date to be paid for that pup on the contract, and must be paid in full by that date by one of the below options.

We only accept personal checks, postal money orders, other money orders, western union, or cash for all fees.  We do not accept Pay Pal.  We do prefer postal money orders or western union for sent payments.  We only accept cash if it's upon the actual pick up of your puppy locally.

 (If you pay by personal check or money order, know that there is a 10 day hold for clearance, which could effect shipping times if applicable.  There is a $50 charge for all ISF checks.)  

DEPOSIT REFUNDS:

We will refund deposits for only the following reason:

1.  Your pup chosen succumbed to death while still in our care.  (We never expect this to happen, but it is not beyond the realm of possibility for any breeder).  If such an instance occurs, you will be given the option of your deposit return, or to put your deposit on another available pup (if one is available - and if one is not available, you will automatically receive back your deposit).

We do not refund deposits for any other reason.

Full Payment refund:

We hold all payments until we know you and your vet are satisfied with your new pup, and in our contract we give you an allotted amount of time to vet your puppy in order to uphold that guarantee.  We never expect one of our pups to not meet your vets standards of health, but if this does occur, this will be the only reason for a refund once all other contractual statements are met on this issue.  There will be no refunds under any other circumstances.

NOTE:  In the event you cannot keep your puppy for whatever reason, you being the new and sole owner must make every effort to re-home your puppy by humane circumstances.  If all other options have been attempted, you may contact us for our help.  We do not "buy" back puppies if you feel you cannot keep your puppy for whatever reason after a purchase is complete.  We will take the puppy back, however, with the understanding that all expenses for transfer back to Fairy Blue Shih Tzu is the buyers responsibility.
